This was the best New Year's Eve ever!! The concert was awesome, Bryan was hot, LeAnn was OK, it was unbelievable.

Me and Mom left our house at about 4:30. We brought the camera, 4 rolls of 24 exp. film, and my really cool signs, my last chance to meet Bryan (and my picture of me and him just in case). I made two identical signs, one for me and one for Carrie. I drew the K*102 slogan/logo, "Today's BEST Country K*102". I colored it with blue and white glitter and painted it with red and black paint. I was going to leave it just like that but then I had a brilliant idea. I wrote "Today's BEST D.J.'s are on" above the "Today's BEST Country K*102". Then around it I put my autographed D.J. pictures I got at the State Fair around it and added curly red, white and blue ribbon to each corner of the pictures. I made the same sign for Carrie. I barrowed my cousin Carrie's D.J. picture's to use on Carrie Anderson's sign. They looked really cool. I was sure the D.J.'s would love them.

We got to Char's house at about 5:00, she was driving. We left Char's at about 5;30, as we drove the to the Target Center we listened to K*102. They we doing the to 100 songs of 1997. We heard Bryan's "Love Is The Right Place" at #97 (Thursday I heard the rest of it and "Sittin' On Go" was at #12!). Me and Carrie chit chatted, she doesn't really like country music, the only ones she really likes are Bryan and LeAnn. I was telling her how great Bryan was (and scaring her with the weird facts I know such as: Bryan was born and February 17, 1974 at 5:06 p.m. in room 111 of the Comanche County Memorial Hospital in Lawton, Oklahoma.) I was telling her how I thought the show would go -- he'd probably start with "So Much For Pretending" and I was hoping he'd do "Southern Nights" and "Two Step Too". I figured he'd probably end with "Someone Else's Star". Carrie said that is her favorite song of his and that it makes her cry when she hears it. me too. Then I thought LeAnne would come on and do her set then Bryan would probably come back out and they'd sing "I Can't Make You Love Me" and sing that New Year's song.

We got to the Target Center at about 6:00 and parked in the ramp and went in. We went up a set of stairs to a hallway where there were only a couple other people around. There was a D.J. booth and K*102 banners on one side of the hallway with a window all the way down. Threw the window we could see more K*102 banners all over and a table full of Bryan and LeAnne concert T-shirts. We were the only one's there for awhile with signs. There weren't any D.J.'s around yet, so we stood outside the door of the D.J. booth, there was only one way in and we figured they couldn't miss us there. Soon more people started arriving a few had signs, they were basically poster board and magic marker I couldn't read them to well, ours were so much better. We held up ours proudly and everyone was looking at then. I couldn't wait to see what the D.J.s thought of them. Then a guy came to go in the D.J. booth and he told us that he didn't have the passes and the judging of the signs would be downstairs. So we went threw another hallway into another room. There were the ticket counters and some big blue doors that weren't open yet that lead into the arena. There were more people there, I was looking for the D.J.s. I saw Donna and Kato walk threw the room really quickly, I didn't see any one stop them, I'm sure they went up to that room on the other side of the D.J. booth.

We waited and waited. My D.J. pictures were falling off my poster, I needed more tape. Mom went over to the ticket counter and got me a bunch of pieces and we stuck the pictures on better. Then we notices that people were lining up in front of the blue doors so we got in line to and waited some more. Finally they opened the doors at about 7:00. The ticket taker checked our tickets and there was a person handing out Lei's, I got a blue one. Now we had an hour before the concert started. We went up some more stairs and then we were in that room by the D.J. booth. Next to the booth was a table with T-shirts and my mom and Char went over there to get me and Carrie a Bryan T-shirt. We stood in front of the D.J. booth with our signs. then all the D.J.'s came in the booth, me and Carrie we right up front. They all saw our signs and smiled and gave us the thumbs up. There was another guy in there giving them all a few tickets and then they left the booth. We got away from the window and waited for the D.J.'s to come around. I spotted Disney Dayton and Pam Lewis from the Morning Show. We went up to them and showed them our posters, they seemed impressed. Pam said we were in the running and asked us what section we were in and we told her, section 113. She said those were really good seats. They told us to find our seats and sit down and the D.J.s would go and look at everyone's signs.

So we went and found our seats, they were really close to the stage. We were on the left hand side even with the corner. We were in row H, 8 rows from the stage. I was in seat 7, I took the one furthest over our of the four seats we had. There was this big black curtain along side the stages and we couldn't see anything. From where I saw sitting I couldn't tell if it was just on the sides or all the way around. There were about 12 chairs on the stage. We didn't know what they were for, but they better move the curtain so we could see.

Me and Carrie took our signs and went to walk around and see if we could find any more D.J.'s. We saw Donna Valentine and Kato Carr and Adam West (he replaced Joe Boxer, who is no longer on K*102). We showed them our signs. Donna said they were impressive and she asked us where we we sitting and she said the same thing Disney and Pam said, go sit down and they would be inside to look at all the signs. Me and Carrie walked around some more and we came to a door on the other side of the arena and looked in. We saw that the curtain went all the way around the stage. Then we went back to our seats and waited. I was so excited. I couldn't sit down. I was standing up holding my sign looking around for the D.J's to come find me, they didn't. The at about 8:00 the lights went out and Travis Moon got on stage and welcomed us and introduced a Hypnotist, He was the opening act. Since the curtain was there we really couldn't see and the jumbo screens were directly over our heads, so he was kinda boring. I wasn't paying to mush attention to him because I was worried about the D.J.'s, where were they? When the Hypnotist was done there was a break and I figured that the D.J.'s were done and I put my sign under my chair, and waited for Bryan to come on!!

A little after 9:00, Travis Moon got back on stage and introduced BRYAN WHITE!! and the curtain opened, the band was playing and Bryan came running out singing "Sign, Sealed, Delivered". It was so exciting, he's so awesome. He was wearing gray pants and a printed shirt, after a couple songs he took that off and had on just a white t-shirt. He had a new hair cut, it was cut real short up the back and long on top, he looked great.

He sang "Sittin' On Go" and "So Much For Pretending". On those fast songs songs he was all over the stage. On the corners of the stage there was a platform and BRyan would go up on it and then he was right in front of me. I was snapping pictures like crazy when he was on our side! Bryan would stand on one corner and get that side to scream them he'd run over to the other side and get that side going, he's so much fun! He sang "Rebecca Lynn" and he changed the lyrics from "Rebecca Lynn grew up in Carolina" to "Rebecca Lynn grew up in Minnesota" -- that was so cool! He sang a bunch of songs from the new album -- "Love Is The Right Place", "The Natural Thing", "One Small Miracle", "Call Me Crazy" and my favorite "Bad Day To Let You Go". He sang his ballads "I'm Not Suppose To Love You Anymore" and "I Can't Make You Love Me". He also did "Look At Me Now" and "Someone Else's Star" after that one he too a bow and left the stage. The lights went out. Everyone was cheering, then the spot lights came back on and the stage lit up and the band was playing. It took me a minute to realize it was Bryan on the drums! He did a little solo and then stood up everyone screamed and he played some more, it was really cool. Then he started to sing a song called "Imagine That" which is a Diamond Rio song, but Bryan wrote it. He sang it as he played the drums. I think that was the last song he did, he took a final bow and ran off stage, the curtains closed and the house lights came on.

Bryan put on an awesome show. I just love how he gets into he music. Like when he sing the fast songs like "So Much For Pretending" or "Sittin' On Go" he's all over the stage and he get the crowd moving. Then he does song's like "I'm Not Suppose To Love You Anymore" and "Someone Else's Star" and he put's so much emotion in to it and he looks like he's about to cry, he's just a great performer, he's the best!!

As we waited for LeAnn's show to start, I got out my 8x10 picture of me and Bryan to look at to make me feel better, I didn't get to meet him this time). He sang "You Are My Sunshine" to me at that Meet & Greet, I told Carrie the whole story.

Then the house lights went out again and it was the "15-year-old-singing-sensation" LeAnn Rimes turn. She sang her songs "Blue", "The Light In Your Eyes", "One Way Ticket", "On The Side of Angels" and "How Do I Live". She did some of her other stuff like "Cowboy's Sweet Heart", and "Blue Moon of Kentucky" and a few songs from her new album coming out in a couple months. She can sure sing for a 15 year old, but that's a bout it. She doesn't seem to get into the music like Bryan does. She just stands there and sings, she doesn't play the guitar or any thing. A couple time she'd come over to the corners and sing and wave to everyone, she was pretty boring, not as fun to watch as Bryan. Bryan is just a much better performer and maybe it's because he's older, but then again LeAnn acts like she's 30, so... I don't know. The lights went out and she left the stage. Everyone was cheering, and like Bryan, she came back out. She started singing "Something To Talk About" and the Bryan came out and joined her!! I knew he'd be back! He changed clothes, now he had on blue jeans and a purple jersey. Bryan grabbed LeAnn's hand and pulled her over the the corner platforms to sing. They came over to our side and I snapped some more pictures. They sang "Stand By Me" together, that was really cute. Then it was just about midnight and they started the countdown. 10 - 9 - 8 - 7 - 6 - 5 - 4 - 3 - 2 - 1 HAPPY NEW YEAR!! Confetti and balloons fell from the ceiling and Bryan and LeAnn sang that New's Song. Then it was all over. They left the stage and the curtain closed and the house lights came back on.

WOW! What a show! And we were the first ones to see it!! I took over 60 pictures and Char took 24! I have some posted on the Photo Album page.
