Today was just incredible. BRYAN WHITE is just the best. We had to sit in one spot for over four hours, but it was completely worth it.
My mom, brother Brad and I left our house at 8:30. We picked up our cousins Carrie and Kim and then we got Grandma. We left town a little before nine o'clock and headed for the Minnesota State Fair. We made it into St. Paul in about a half an hour. When we hit Larpenteur Avenue, the road right outside the fair grounds, we sat in traffic for over an hour. Finally, at about 10:30, we got in fair grounds, Bought our tickets and parked. Carrie and I headed straight for the Bandshell Bryan was on at 3:10, and we wanted to get good seats. My mom, Brad, Kim and Grandma looked at stuff along the way. When Carrie and I got to the Bandshell, the place was pretty much packed. I thought it would be full of teenage girls waiting to see Bryan White, but most of the people in the audience were older. I guess they were there to see Peter Noone, some old singer I'd never heard of. So Carrie and I stood outside the seating area on the left-hand side of the stage, we could see pretty good from there. Peter Noone came out at 10:55. Mom, Grandma, Brad and Kim eventually caught up with us. Grandma took Brad and Kim to walk around and my mom stayed with me and Carrie. When Peter Noone was done most of the old people left. We got fantastic seats, THIRD ROW!! In between acts, my mom was talking to the people around us. Two girls in front of us said they were from Brainard and they were here yesterday to see the Smokin' Armadillos. They spent the night on the fair grounds and had been sitting in the second row since 6:30 to see Bryan White. These two guys sitting next to us were from Bloomington, they sat there right after us. The next show was at 11:50, a Minnesota group called Tonic Sol-Fa. They were a five guy group and they were amazing. They sang all kinds of songs and did them all A Cappella, no instruments. They sang "Sold" (a John Michael Montgomery song), the Muppets version of the "Lion Sleeps Tonight", "Kiss the Girl" from The Little Mermaid, "Under the Boardwalk" and some other stuff. They were really funny, they were selling their C.D.s after the show. Carrie and I just had to have both of their C.D.s, all 5 of the guys autographed both C.D.s. They were awesome. Peter Noone came on again at 12:45. Then at 1:25 two comedians came out and did their thing. Brad, Kim and Grandma came back and sat with us. Then there was like a 40 minute break. The announcer came out and told us 4 Runner was up next and then Bryan White would be out. When he said Bryan White the crowd went crazy, we were screaming and clapping and just goin' nuts!! 4 Runner came out at 2:25 and did their songs, no one seemed to pay to much attention to them. There was a door in the back of the stage and every one could see people walking around back there. I think most people were just watching that door hoping to see Bryan. There was a 15 minute break while Bryan's people set up the stuff and did sound check. The announcer came out and said now BRYAN WHITE!! and Bryan came out, the crowd went hysterical. Bryan is so cute, I thought is was gorgeous in his videos and stuff, but to see him live he was even more gorgeous, if that's possible!! Bryan did "So Much For Pretending" for his first song, almost every one was singing along. Then he did "Look at me Now", "You Know How I Feel", "I'm Not Supposed to Love You Anymore". When he did "Rebecca Lynn" he changed the lyrics from: ...Laura Jean was born in Tennessee... to ...Laura Jean was born in Minnesota... and the crowd went crazy again!! Bryan did "Sittin' On Go" and "Blindhearted". When he did "Someone Else's Star" he held out the microphone and let the crowd sing the chorus we all sounded pretty good. The last song he sang was "Two Step Too". I think that's the name of the song, it's not on either album. I wish it was though, it's a cool song. Of course during all this, a lot of people were taking pictures. A few people went up to the stage and gave Bryan flowers. A little girl gave him a bag of sunflower seeds and another one gave him a little stuffed animal. We used up two rolls of film, 48 pictures, and that was just on the his first set!! It was just so exciting, just incredible, BRYAN WHITE is so adorable, he's just so HOT!! The group 4 Runner came out for their second set at 4:00. Once again the crowd didn't seem to be paying much attention to them. I wanted another roll of film to take more pictures, so my mom went to see if she could find some film. She did, she got a roll of 27. Then me and Mom went to stand in line to buy an glossy, 8x10, color picture of Bryan White picture. By the time we got threw the line, 4 runner was just about done and Bryan would be on soon for his second set. Bryan was supposed to be out at 5:10, but they were having some technical problems. The left side of the stage wasn't getting any power. It took about 15 minutes and they got it working. The announcer came out and said "And now, for his second go, BRYAN WHITE!!" Bryan came out and the crowd went completely crazy again. He did pretty much the same songs and stuff as before, but everyone loved it just as much and were as rowdy as when he came out before. I took another 27 pictures. Bryan did a different last song, "Stand By Me", it was really cool. Bryan said he would be signing autographs for awhile. So when he got off the stage everyone got up and went to where he said he was signing autographs. It seemed like everyone who saw him wanted an autograph, there must of been like 1,000 people there!! We went over there to, but it was really unorganized and by the time people found out where they were supposed to line up at Bryan was done signing autographs. We didn't get one, a lot of people were pretty upset. I would of loved to of gotten Bryan's autograph, but I didn't let that bum me out to much. I couldn't of asked for a better day. Just think, I was in third row, I could see Bryan perfectly they were wonderful seats. I must of taken over 70 pictures. And the weather was perfect, not to cold and not to hot either. We had a great time, I think I've got Carrie obsessed with Bryan White too. We had so much fun and I'll never forget it as long as I live!! Then when we left the Bandshell area, we walked backed to the van to put my picture and camera away. Then me, Carrie and Kim had to go down the giant slide. So we did that and then it was getting dark and we had to go. When we got back to Shakopee we stopped at K-Mart to drop off the 3 rolls of film. We're getting double prints, that's like 150 pictures! That's cool, I'll have new wallpaper for my room, O.K. maybe just the door. =) I have some posted on the Photo Album page.
