The 2006 Honky Tonk Tailgate Party at the North Dakota Winter Show
The concert at the North Dakota Winter Show, Thursday, March 9, will feature a group of chart-topping country music artists who joined together to form the Honky Tonk Tailgate party tour: Wade Hayes, Jeff Carson and Bryan White.

The Honky Tonk Tailgate Party tour is a unique concert experience offering two hours of non-stop hits from some of country music’s favorite artists. All three performers have had, and continue to produce, popular country music that spans a broad spectrum of country styles. The format of the show includes three separate performances followed by a culmination of all three artists meeting on stage to sing country and rock outlaw favorites.

Wade Hayes’ “Old Enough to Know Better” was the only debut country album of 1995 to be certified gold, and it yielded four Top-10 singles. Hayes has a deep, twang-filled, day-job-toughened, saloon-cured baritone that marks him as a real honky tonk singer. Hit songs include “On a Good Night,” “Old Enough to Know Better,” “Don’t Stop, What I Meant to Say,” and “The Day She Left Tulsa.”

Jeff Carson hit the charts with his number one hit “Not On Your Love” and the smash ballad “The Car,” which won the American Country Music Video of the Year award. His 2001 hit “Real Life” also won acclaim and soared onto the country charts. Other hits include “Holdin’ on to Something,” “Shine On,” and “Butterfly Kisses.”

A multi-platinum artist with a string of five #1 hits and a mantel full of awards, Bryan White is regarded as a master stylist. White sings great songs about matters of the heart and he delivers them with honesty, innocence and purity of spirit that have made him one of the most popular personalities in country music. Hits include “Sittin’ On Go,” “Rebecca Lynn,” “Look at Me Now,” “So Much For Pretending,” “Love is the Right Place,” “From This Moment On,” and “Someone Else’s Star.”

Ticket prices are $25 for upper level seats and for the lower level festival style “Party in the Dirt.” Tickets will go on sale Wednesday, Feb. 1, at area Stop-N-Go stores and the NDWS office or by calling (800) 437-0218.

The 69th North Dakota Winter Show runs March 7 - 12. Make sure to check out all the events at this year’s show. ~ January 20, 2006, Times-Record

Bryan White and Erika Page White Announce the Birth of Their Second Child
Bryan White and his wife Erika Page White welcomed their second son, Jackson Dylan, into the world Friday, July 8th at 10:28 a.m. at Baptist Hospital in Nashville. He weighed 6 lb. 12 oz. and was 19 1/4" long. Baby Jackson joins big brother Justin Daniel who turns two in October. Mother and baby are doing great. "We were so eager to finally see our second son and make all of the natural observations and comparisons," notes Erika. "He's just so cute, and so tiny, and he looks so much like his brother Justin! I'm very happy and I feel wonderful. We're truly blessed."

"Gosh, I felt such a rush of emotion the minute I saw his little face," says Bryan. "I couldn't smile big enough. In fact, it's hard to believe that your face can handle that much emotion at one time...crying, smiling, and laughing all at the same time. A lot of random thoughts hit me right away: 'What a privilege God has given us.' 'I'm officially grown up now (Ha!).' 'Justin's got a built-in best friend now just like me and my brother Daniel.' and 'Look at my beautiful family.'"

Bryan White is busy completing a new 12-cut album, titled "Out of the Storm." The CD is tentatively scheduled for fall release and initially will be available for purchase through his website www.bryanwhite.com. "This record is really fun and energetic. It includes a duet with my musical hero Steve Wariner that was a blast! It's a really special record. Over the last five years, 'life' has definitely happened to me and this record reflects that. It touches on many different life issues for me and gives people sort of a little deeper look into my life. It's a great balance of emotion. I hope this record blesses and encourages every single person who hears it!"

White spent several years beefing up his songwriting endeavors and building up his publishing catalog. One of his songs, "Sometimes I feel Like Elvis," co-written with Neil Thrasher and Derek George, was featured on Wynonna's "What the World Needs Now is Love" CD. He recently signed with booking agency Buddy Lee Attractions and will be touring throughout the summer. Please visit White's website for a complete list of tour stops.

Erika Page White has put her acting career on hold to focus on her growing family and the responsibilities of being a full-time wife and mother, but has future plans to continue her acting pursuits. She and her management team continue to accept and evaluate film and television opportunities with designs on marrying up with the right project. In the meantime, during her time at home, she's focusing attention toward developing programming concepts with the intent of shooting a pilot.

The White family will continue to reside in Nashville. ~ July 11, 2005, The Holley-Guidry Company

Meeker / Dickinson
Hey guys just wanted to say a great big thank you for coming out to Meeker and to Dickinson this past weekend! What a blast! For having absolutely no sleep I thought the shows went awesome! It sure did help me that you were there. It raised my energy level up so much. I couldn't have done it without you. Meeker was beautiful. The people were so nice. I'm guessing that there were about 3000 + people there. I had fun visiting with all of you at sound check. Thanks for the gifts. I wish we could've stayed longer to hang and maybe go fishin' but we had a long drive to Denver and an early flight. Hope you guys had safe travels home and you enjoyed the show and the new material.

The Dickinson show was great as well. Beautiful country! I could breathe a little better in ND (Ha!). I missed my flight that day so it was a miracle that I made it to the show. Don't ask me why. It's a long story. Let's just say I've learned my lesson. I got to the Dickinson Rec Center a half hour before I was supposed to go on stage. For some reason though I've always done good under pressure like that. The show went great. Again, I'm guessing that there was about 3 to 4000 + people there. I did 45 minutes acoustically. I always wonder how that will go over from place to place but it always seems to work. The crowd was incredible! I love when everybody is close to the stage. That makes it fun for me and I do better. Sugarland and Emerson Drive did great as well. They were great to hang with. I was worried that Erika might go into labor with me gone but I made it home. I'm so thankful. What a whirlwind of a weekend! Thank you so much for coming out. It was a total blast! I look forward to seeing you more this summer! Love you guys! Bryan ~ July 6, 2005, BryanWhite.com

Coming Soon!
Just wanted to let everybody know that Erika is feeling great. We are scheduled to induce labor on Friday so please keep us in your prayers. What an exciting time it is! Love and blessings! - Bryan ~ July 6, 2005, BryanWhite.com

So Grateful!
Hey guys. I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for making this past week such an amazing success. CMA Music Fest was incredible! It was a jam packed week full of performances and connecting with the people I love so much. I was very moved, to say the least, at the turnout and enthusiasm shown at the fanclub party and Riverfront Park on Sat. the 11th. It was very nostalgic and very emotional to see all of you there with huge smiles on your faces. At times throughout the show on Sat. I found it hard to sing because I was so excited and so grateful. Also, thank you so much for all the wonderful gifts from the baby clothes to the cookies! I want you to know how important you guys are to me. My life has been so blessed because of you guys. I can't wait to give you this new album (Out Of The Storm). I hope to see you this Summer! I will keep you posted on our new arrival! Love and blessings. - Bryan ~ June 16, 2005, BryanWhite.com

Bryan White Counts His Blessings
Ten years ago, country music's Bryan White was breaking hearts across the country and scoring strings of No. 1 hits.

Songs such as "Rebecca Lynn," "Someone Else's Star," and "I'm Not Supposed to Love You Anymore" catapulted the soft-spoken, baby-faced, country singer onto the radio, the top of the charts and onto the bedroom walls of teenage girls around the country.

But the feast didn't last forever. A short time later White's record label, Asylum, folded, and Bryan White started to drop off the radar. Country music's golden boy took the opportunity to put his career on the back burner and focus on life's simple things. In the meantime, the singer got married, became a father, and his wife is now pregnant with the couple's second son.

"I took three or four years off," says White during a recent telephone interview from his Nashville-area home. "I got so overwhelmed, I needed a break. I was lucky I had such success financially early on because that has sustained us for the past four years."

Recently, White decided his vacation from the music industry had gone on long enough and he is now poised to mount a comeback. A new, independent record is in the works and White plans to debut selections from that record Saturday, June 11, at the CMA Music Fest in downtown Nashville.

"This is all about getting back on the horse and digging in the spurs," says White. "I'm really excited to be putting a record out, and I've been going to Fan Fair/CMA Fest for about 12 years now. It's exciting because you get to connect with the faces that put you on the map. The fans are the backbone of country music and it's neat to meet the fans that have been around since day one and the folks that just got turned on to the music. The little kids are the most special because they're so excited to be there and you want to sit down and talk to them, but you don't have that much time."

While the singer says fans can expect to hear all their old favorites during his set, personally, he's looking forward to playing at least one new song from his upcoming record.

"I'm going to do a song called 'The Little Things,'" explains White. "The song was inspired by my wife. I wrote it after we found out we conceived our first child and it's just about all the little things she does. She'll write 'I love you' on a Post-It-Note and stick it on my steering wheel, things like that. For the longest time I couldn't even sing it live without breaking up. I'm finally over the hump and I can sing it now."

White says five years ago he would have been incapable of penning a song like "The Little Things" because he didn't have the life experience to back it up. He attributes the depth in his new material to the time off he took to reground himself as not only a person, but as a husband and a father.

"The great thing is, that it's not that I think I've become this phenomenal songwriter, but I think there's a point in everyone's life where life just happens," says the singer. "For me it was 30 and it's when you get married and you start having kids. That's when your songwriting starts to get better because you can draw from your personal life. I'm sort of in a good groove and I'm at a point where I can focus more on the music . Before I was a kid and I tried to kind of tried to choose good songs with catchy hooks. Now everything is so personal. I find myself not wanting to cut a song if I can't relate to it. I'm not focused on 'Will they play this on the radio?' but on 'Will someone be blessed by this song?'"

The singer is careful to point out his entire CD isn't just about his family. However, there's no denying White isn't a changed man since the birth of his first son 19 months ago.

"It's an amazing thing to look at this little carbon copy of you and your wife," says the new dad. "It's the neatest thing. You don't realize how selfish you are until you have a child. (Before you have kids) the first thing you usually do in the morning is sort of focus on your self. You can't do that anymore and you relate to a whole new sphere of folks. Aisle five never meant anything to you in the grocery store, but now it's like, 'Wow, that's on sale.' Now I find myself talking to other dads and it's cool. You couldn't have as much respect for parents until you became one. It's a chance to serve instead of serving your self."

Heavily influenced by life's latest blessings, White began work on his new studio project about six months ago. He hopes it will be released by the end of June. White was hoping to have the CD finished by the CMA Music Fest, but he says he got sick a couple of times over the past few months and the illnesses slowed production. When work is finished, the CD, which is yet-to-be named, will be available in stores

"It's independent," says the singer of the project. "I'm funding it all myself. I just assembled a team of people I really trust. It's all very grassroots. Since I don't have a label, I'm not feeling the immense pressure to meet their date. But that can also cause you to be lethargic, and people have to call and prod me along."

White recalls the days of his major label productions and only hopes fans respond as well to this project as they did to past records.

"The greatest thing in the world" is to be standing on stage and hear people sing your songs back to you, comments White. "To know you made an impact in that way where people know the song is amazing. When you remember where the song got started and to see it go through all these metamorphosis it's like, 'Wow, that song got started in my living room and now all these people know it.'"

Over the next week, White plans to gear up for a busy summer of nearly constant touring, with the CMA Music Fest being the first stop. From there the singer says he's looking forward to getting reacquainted with the people who first made him famous.

"Overall, it's really neat to connect with people like that," he says. "Where do you hear about that happening in any other genre? The fans are interested in the people behind the music. Country music fans know if they meet their favorite singer, chances are the entertainer is going to sit down and talk to them and be humble. This is just a great time of year where we as musicians get to show up and say 'Thank you, we appreciate your dedication.'"

Bryan's Wife Throws Great 30th B-Day Bash
Country singer Bryan White (Someone Else's Star) turned 30 last week, and his wife threw him a big (quasi) surprise party.

Bryan said his missus, one smokin' hot actress Erika Page, woke up that morning and ordered him out of the house for four hours.

Bryan returned ?after being bored out of his mind at various mall stores ? to a house full of folks who flew in from all over the country.

The highlight came when Erika introduced a ''very special person.''

Country singer Neal McCoy is the one who first introduced Bryan and Erika. So Bryan thought she was talking about McCoy when his wife said: ''We wouldn't be together if it wasn't for this person.''

''Then I smelled my mom's perfume,'' Bryan said. ''I was really emotional.''

No, Neal McCoy wasn't wearing Bryan's mother's perfume. (But that would've been an awesome twist, Erika!)

Indeed, Bryan's mother flew in from Oklahoma.

''It was the pinnacle of the evening. It was really hard not to cry.''

Happy birthday, dude.

There was a downside, Bryan reports.

''The phrase I don't hear so much anymore is, 'You've got your whole life ahead of you.' '' ~ February 27, 2004, The Tennesean

BRYAN'S 30TH BIRTHDAY!
Hey Everybody! Thank you so much for thinking of me on this special day. I really appriciate all the birthday wishes! Can you believe it? I'm actually 30! I can hardly believe it myself! Time is just flying by and as they say, I'm no spring chicken anymore (Ha!). I had an awesome Birthday. Yesterday my wonderful wife threw me a surprise birthday party. She really pulled a good one on me. Bar-b-que and lots of chocolate cake! You'll never guess who all was there. Well, pretty much everyone I've ever known (Ha!) My Mother flew in from Oklahoma, my business manager Stan Schneider flew in all the way from L.A., my brother Daniel and his wife Lindsay, Steve & Caryn Wariner, Brinson & Lisa Strickland and their little ones Sophia and Carlisle, Scotty Emerick, Derek, Leslie and little Noah George, and a host of family and friends. I could not keep my eyes dry from the moment I walked in to the very last person leaving. It was a very emotional and overwhelming day. What a memory. What a night! I won't soon forget that.

I woke up yesterday morning and my mind started churning. I began to think of my life from the earliest recollection 'til now. It's so funny how turning 30 provokes you to think about your life (past, present, future). I feel like I've lived 3 lives. I never imagined so many amazing things happening to me and accomplishing all that I have accomplished at 30. Every dream I've ever had has become reality. The very dream I imagined to be the pinnacle of life was not that at all, but that very let down led me to realizing what "Life" is truly about. I have so many amazing memories and have such a blessed life. It has been a truly incredible experience getting to make music and travel the world seeing you guys everywhere I've gone. I've practically grown up with a lot of you! It would hardly be an experience without you all in my life. If I might quote a John Mayer song that I think fits me well. "I've never lived the dream of the prom kings and the drama queens". I'd like to think the best of me is still hiding up my sleeve"! Love and blessings! ~ Bryan White ~ February 16, 2004, BryanWhite.com

A Message From Bryan!
Thanks Everybody!
Hey everyone. I just want to thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers regarding our new child Justin. Our pregnancy was extraordinary. It was so blessed. The labor and delivery was amazing and very quick. Mama and Justin are doing very well. I still can't believe he's here and that he came sooner than we expected! I am so humbled and so blessed. I do not deserve all the amazing things I've been given. God is so good! I'm looking so forward to baseball practice, fishing, and all the other fun things that little boys like to do with their Dad. Erika & I are excited about the challenge of being parents. All the focus is on him now. It's already changed us so much, and rightfully so. I think this is another one of those gifts God gives us to teach us how selfish we are. You guys are amazing. Thank you and I pray God is continuing to bless you wherever you are.
Love, Bryan ~ November 3, 2003, BryanWhite.com

“IT’S A BOY!” For Bryan And His Wife
Congrats to Bryan White and his wife, Erika Page White, who welcomed their first child, Justin Daniel, into the world last Friday at 11:44 pm at Nashville’s Baptist Hospital. Justin weighed in at a healthy 7-pounds, 7 ½ ounces and was 19 ¾ inches long. Mother and baby are doing great, and Bryan is every bit the proud papa. He gushes, “The birth of our son was the greatest moment of my life. It can’t be topped. I don’t think I could love anything or anyone as much as I love this child. When his eyes first opened and he looked right at me for the first time, I felt like I was ten feet off the ground.” Erika, who has stepped away from her acting career to focus on her growing family, is equally thrilled. She notes, “I’m so excited to finally see our new baby and what he looks like. He has dark hair and resembles both of us. We’re very happy. I feel wonderful – we have been very blessed.” Incidentally, Bryan says he’s been prepping for his new daddy duties – including diaper changing. He explains, “I now sport the title ‘Designated Diaper Changer.’ I’ve developed my own strategy for approaching the task, and I’m really pretty good at it. We’ve been in training for the last year working with the two-year-olds at church. I’ve had plenty of practice.” Congrats to all! ~ October 28, 2003, T-100

In a statement, Erika Page White says their new son resembles both of them, and has her dark hair. She describes her delivery as "great," with "absolutely no complaints or complication," and says they have been "very blessed." For Dad's part, White says he's developed his own strategy for diaper-changing by training for the last year, working with the two-year-olds at church.

White plans to release an album and tour some dates next year. One of his songs, "Sometimes I Feel Like Elvis," is featured on Wynonna's current album. ~ October 28, 2003, WCHS-TV

The Stork To Visit The White House
We recently sent out congrats to Bryan White and his lovely wife, Erika Page White, who have announced they're expecting their first child late this fall. Of course, the new daddy-to-be is over the moon. He gushes, "The minute I found out we were going to have a baby, my life changed dramatically. The feeling is difficult to explain, but all I can think about anymore is 'It's not about me. It's about my wife and my child.'" He goes on to say that he's more than ready for the challenges of parenting. Bryan notes, quote, "I've always looked forward to this time in my life. I stop sometimes and reflect on my life and all of the great opportunities that have come my way. Now, I've been blessed one more time with this little miracle that is on the way." Married for two and a half years, Bryan and Erika are no longer maintaining multiple households and recently decided on Nashville as their permanent residence. Why? The couple cited "the exceptional quality of life, especially for raising children, and the central access to the entertainment business on both coasts."

Preparing for the new addition to his family isn't all bryan's been up to lately. He's been working with a number of songwriters and cranking out a huge amount of new material and is laying the groundwork for a new album. ~ April 21, 2003, T-100

Fishin' Can Prepare A Man To Be A Daddy
Country singer Bryan White and his wife, actress Erika Page, are psyched about pending parenthood.

They even gave up their L.A. apartment to live full time in Nashville, which as we all know is far more conducive to family living than those evil entertainment center cities on the coasts. And Erika has decided to take a break from acting through her pregnancy and beyond.

Bryan says the thought of changing diapers doesn't scare him, even though he has little experience with that skill set.

But he's convinced that a certain hobby has helped to prepare him for baby poop.

''You know I'm a huge fisherman,'' Bryan told me. ''So if I can clean a fish, I can do that.'' ~ April 19, 2003, Tennessean.com

Bryan White And Wife Expecting Child

Hello there! Just a little message wishing you a very happy, awesome, and life changing New Year! I hope you had a Holiday Season that you’ll never forget! I sure did! My wife, Champ & I traveled far and wide to see all of our family. We laughed and cried, exchanged gifts, sang songs, told stories, watched old movies, ate a lot of awesome food (Yes!), and gave lots of hugs and kisses. Somehow, it just never seems to last long enough. Well, we’ll just have to look forward to the next one. There is new music coming soon, I promise. Until next time, I wish you all the best in your new year to come.

Sincerely,
-Bryan ~ January 6, 2003, BryanWhite.com
